  • Short plant description BR280 in culture

    Diameter of the culture plant is ca. 12 cm. 
    Plant height without cephalium 8 cm. 
    The colour of the epidermis is dark green. 
    The number of ribs is 13. Number of areoles per rib is 10 on plants with cephalium. The shape of the areoles is round. 
    The number of spines is 5; the length of the 2 spines upwards is 0.5 cm. The length of the spines side- and downwards is 1.5 cm. 
    The colour of the spines is amberlike. 
    The colour of the cephalium is cream-white. 
    The colour of the fruit is white. 
    The position of the stigma is half-way up the stamens.

  • Remarks

    Grafted plants may flower in 3 years.

Diameter of this culture plant is ca. 8 cm. 
Plant height without cephalium 7 cm. 
The colour of the epidermis is dark green. 
Number of ribs 11. 
Number of areoles per rib is 5 to 6 on plants with cephalium. 
The shape of the areoles is round. 
The number of radial spines is 5 to 6. 
The length of the spines upwards is 0.5 to 1 cm, and of the spines downwards till 2.5 cm.
The shape of the spines is slightly recurved mostly backwards and the colour of the young spines is red/brown; the older spines are white with a dark brown tip.

 

  • Remarks

The beautiful colour of the spines is especially existent on the young  plants.

          The colour is explanatoryfor the name.
