culture
Diameter of the culture plant is ca. 8,5 cm. Plant height without cephalium 4,5 cm. The colour of the epidermis is
gray/green. The number of rib is 10. Number of areoles per rib is 6-7 on plants with
cephalium. The shape of the areoles is woolly and oval.
The number of radial spines is 5-7. De length is 1-1,5 cm.
The shape of the spines is slightly bent to the plant and the colour
looks like amber.
The colour of the cephalium white to light brown/rose. The colour of the fruit is white. The position of the stigma is at the top of the stamens.

Small and only a little variable species. The
plant gives flowers within 3 years when grafted.

Habitat.
In the enviroment of Cuiaba the capitol of Mato Grosso
on the road to Chapada dos Guimares, Brazil at an altitude of ca. 240 m.
among shrubs, grasses in hard soil consisting of gravel and small
stony rocks and black sand.

Diameter of the culture plant is ca. 12 cm.
Plant height without cephalium 7 cm.
The colour of the epidermis is shiny green.
Number of ribs is 12.
Number of areoles per rib is 7 on plants with cephalium.
The shape of the areoles is oval.
The number of radial spines is 7.
De length of the spines is 0,5 tot 2 cm.
De shape of the spines is slightly recurved backwards and the colour is
yellowish.
The position of the stigma is at the primary stamens.
Probably a var. of D. heptacanthus.
